The Ivy League selects eoVision to develop Ivy League Sports

Wichita, Kansas – Wichita's largest Web-developer, eoVision LLC, recently fended off 80 rival bidders for the opportunity to design and develop IvyLeagueSports.com -- a new online portal for the sports office of the Ivy League. The last company to bid on this project, eoVision beat the only other short-listed contender, UK-based Web developer TeamTalk. Thoroughness while evaluating ongoing Web site needs, plus other reference sites, clinched the contract for eoVision, says Brett Hoover, the League's assistant director.

"Our goal was to provide our audiences with an attractive and useful Web site that would allow us to easily maintain and update information."

On target for a late-September launch, the Ivy League's new online sports portal will replace an existing site that's difficult to update, according to eoVision's President and founder, Paul Walls. The existing site receives around 180,000 visitors a month. But limited functionality prevents Ivy League from interacting with supporters, players and other key users more effectively. Within the first six months, the newly developed IvyLeagueSports.com is expected to deliver a 30 percent increase in traffic

The eight Ivy League universities comprising this athletic conference include: Brown, Columbia, Cornell, Dartmouth, Harvard, Penn, Princeton and Yale.
